The cosy restaurant of the hotel and its spacey garden terrace –weather permitting – provide buffet-style and menu selection service for the guests. The rich and healthy breakfasts or dinners offer not only a taste but a colour experience of freshly prepared regional, Hungarian and international specialities.
Our guests can get acquainted with the region Őrség’ s typical dishes which ingredients are wild meat and forest mushrooms. Although the preparing and serving of the meals are helped by the modern kitchen technology, nevertheless they are based on traditions. The kitchen prefers to use organic and bio ingredients. By the preparing of meats, salads and sauces, the master chef of the hotel prefers to use seed oil, for example pumpkin oil, it contains a large amount of antioxidants protecting the human body from free radical damages and having a positive impact on the build-up of blood cholesterol.

Surrounding
Szentgotthárd, the city located closest to the western border of Hungary, is a gate to the countries of Western Europe. The city is located between the branches of rivers Rába and Lapincs, near to the Hungarian-Austrian-Slovenian border; accordingly, it has inherited and conserved the culture and traditions of three nations. Being the westernmost city of Hungary, it is the gate of the youngest Hungarian natural park located in the Őrség region. The valley of River Rába, Lake Hársas, the Vend region and Őrség woodlands offer a multitude of natural beauties and pleasant discoveries for tourists visiting Szentgotthárd. Hunters, anglers, lovers of wildwater kayaking and canoeing, bikers and horseback riders have a rich choice of opportunities here.
In addition to its fascinating natural potentialities, Szentgotthárd has one of the most beautiful and ancient baroque churches of Hungary. The natural resources of the region include not only hills having a special subalpine climate but, as the most significant potential, thermal water, too, especially at the city of Szentgotthárd. This is a medical thermal water having a positive effect on different problems (e.g. bone disorders, locomotor diseases, gastrointestinal, gynaecological problems, catarrhal and neurological illnesses, diseases of the thyroid or the respiratory system, treatment of dental problems).
Destination / accessibility
- in Hungary: follow the main road 8 in direction of the country border (Rábafüzes), make the left before the border, continue on 2 kms to the city Szentgotthárd.
- in Austria: take the highway A2, exit at Ilz, continue on road E66 for 25 kms, cross the border at Heiligenkreuz, after 500 m take the right, and continue on 2 kms to the city Szentgotthárd. (70 kms from Graz, 120 kms from Vienna).
- from Slovenia (Muraszombat): crossing the border at Felsőszölnök and Kétvölgyi continue on 20 kms to the city Szentgotthárd.
